I think I have fixed it or at least it isn't showing up in Event Viewer any longer. Here is what I did. I went into Device Mgr. Clicked on show hidden devices, scrolled down to Non Plug and Play Drivers and then right clicked on Parallel port Driver.
I then clicked on Properties, and then clicked on the Driver Tab and then clicked disabled in the Start up type. I no longer am having the issue in Event Viewer and the two printers attached to my computer seem to be working just fine. Did I do something that will cause problems later? In reply to bmail's post on January 26, In reply to Arya S Asok's post on January 26, Arya S Asok On a different subject. For years I have had to change "Automatic Updates" in Services to Manual not Automatic because putting "Automatic Updates" to Automatic caused this service to hang on boot-up and would cause the computer to take much longer to finally boot into my desktop.
I read years ago that if I put Automatic Update to Manual then the service wouldn't hang up and the computer would boot much quicker.
